10 Must Haves for Summer

So, let's be 100% honest here. I'm not a summer person. I'm completely content spending my days inside my home and relaxing versus being at the pool, playing outside, or laying in the sun.

The bugs aren't my jam.

The heat/humidity is not my jam.

(But summer storms ARE!)

So, here is my list of ESSENTIALS for surviving summer!

(1) This Sunscreen >>

With all the controversy of cancer-causing ingredients in mainstream sunscreen, I choose a brand that I KNOW is safe for the entire family. I love that this sunscreen is Vegan, Cruelty-Free, and Reef-Safe - plus, the company has a strict ingredient policy so you can be reassured that what you are putting on your skin is good for you!

(2) This Swimwear >>

Yeah, let's be honest, this was never a problem for me prior to having kids. I've struggled over the years to find swimwear that had good booty coverage without looking like a grandma. I've had several successes on Amazon with a two-piece and a one-piece, but my favorite is Aerie! I love their diverse options and coverages! Grab a few favs here and here!

(3) This Sunless Tanner >>

I've been using sunless tanner on my snow-white skin for years. I had thought I found one that I liked, but the smell and the chemicals were a total turnoff. Yuck! Though I don't use sunless tanner as often anymore, when I do, I use this brand - it's vegan and chemical-free and doesn't smell bad at all!

(4) This Beach Waver >>

I have naturally wavy hair, but, in the summer, the Wisconsin humidity takes my waves and makes them limp and frizzy. This beach waver from Amazon is easy to use and gives you an effortless summer look!

(5) This Gelee >>

I'll talk anyone's ears off about this gelee! I used to use aloe vera gel from Walmart for my sunburns, but this stuff is 100,000% better! It's so soothing on the skin and smells amazing!

(6) This Mug >>

Whether I'm taking the kids to their baseball practices or headed to the lake, my fizz stays cold and my coffee stays hot. 100% recommend these for summer lifestyle.

(7) This Drink >>

Obviously, staying hydrated in the summer is essential for your health in the heat, but sports drinks are not my favorites - all the artificial dyes and flavors, all the sugar ... it's not good to be ingesting that continually. This drink is a vegan alternative to popular sports drinks. It's formulated without artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, dairy, gluten, or soy, and is only 25 calories and 3g of sugar per serving!

(8) This Floatie >>

Ok, ok, you got me. I don't actually own this inflatable flamingo. But, I'm trying to convince my husband that it is a MUST HAVE for summer, so just go with it.

(9) This Facial Mask >>

I use this detox mask year round, but I use it more often in the summer. It just seems like between sunburns, sweat, and makeup, my face needs a little extra detoxing. French Pink Clay acts like a magnet to attract pore-clogging sebum, dirt and debris, while a gentle blend of skin-smoothing acids helps refine pore appearance and brighten the complexion. (Pro-tip: If you're reading this at the time of posting - it's on sale, which is SUPER rare!)

(10) This Book >>

I read this book back in January and again this summer about being a humble, yet hungry leader. It's such a great read for anyone that has a leadership position in any aspect of their lives. Each time I've read it, I've grabbed new pieces from it to apply to my business and even in my personal life. Be sure to check it out!
